  • What inspires you most about Second Helpings’ mission? The positive impact it has in being able to lessen the burden of food insecurity for marginalized groups in Indianapolis. I also appreciate how Second Helpings is able to provide opportunities for people to enhance their lives with the CJT program. These initiatives make such a difference for those who need it and also gives an outlet for people to lend a helping hand and give back to the community.
  • What’s something you like to do outside of work?  I love to spend time with my dog-child, Coco. I also like to cook and bake sourdough bread.

  • What inspires you most about Second Helpings’ mission? I find inspiration in the resourcefulness and dedication exhibited by our diligent staff and volunteers. Second Helpings is not only addressing the immediate needs of individuals in our community by providing nutritious meals but also offering valuable culinary job training.
  • What’s something you like to do outside of work? I’m really into sound design and audio engineering, and you’ll often find me gaming. I also have a passion for cooking and enjoy experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen.

With the seemingly simple act of keeping food out of the landfill, we are not only helping keep our planet healthy, we are providing vital meals to those who need them. By providing the most basic need, food, we are eliminating one barrier from folks’ daily lives, allowing them to focus on other things they need.
  • What’s something you like to do outside of work? Hiking with my wonderful husband Jeff and adorable dog Lincoln. Frequenting local food and beverage purveyors. Spending quality time with our amazing friends.

  • What’s something you like to do outside of work? I am a lifelong Cleveland baseball fan, and travel to Guardians games several times a year.

  • What inspires you most about Second Helpings’ mission? The sheer efficiency inspires me. The ability to use donated food and volunteer hours to provide free nutrition, served at existing non-profits located in the areas with the greatest needs, where more than 100 local nonprofits’ cost savings result in more services or higher quality services for our community, is amazing!
  • What’s something you like to do outside of work? Spending time with my grandkids, gardening, and reading historical fiction.

  • What’s something you like to do outside of work? I have a small woodworking business and it is a very important creative outlet for me. I also love gardening and spending time with my family and neighbors playing board games.
