Dave & Rich’s Ride to Hope

Dave Bartz and Rich Farkas have an affinity for northern Michigan and have talked for a while about biking there. With the arrival of the Covid-19 epoch, both agreed that it is no time to take anything for granted and started formulating a plan.

Rich attended Hope College in Holland, Michigan and they both agreed that this would be a great destination to get a good taste of traveling on a bike for significant distances. At the same time, they felt they could get people excited about supporting the idea and good cause. Thus Ride to Hope was born.

Dave and Rich seek donations to Second Helpings that are contingent on them reaching their destination. It is 247 miles from Dave’s house and 242 miles from Rich’s to Hope College and each are hoping you sponsor them at $1 a mile – or at whatever level you are able to support.
